It’s time to celebrate and the parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church are gearing up for a weekend of memories and fun.

Saturday afternoon festivities begin with softball and baseball games with concessions and activities on the Parish grounds. The annual parish prime rib supper will be held in the parish center with a 6 p.m. social hour followed by a 7 p.m. meal. This meal is reserved seating only and tickets can be purchased from parish council members.

On Sunday morning, a breakfast sponsored by Vacation Bible School will be served from 8:30 till noon in the Parish Center. The regular Sunday mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. in St. John’s Church after which the concession and game booth will open until 2 p.m. At 2 p.m. a Centennial Mass with Archbishop Elden Curtiss will be celebrated in the church.

Concessions and games will resume at 3 p.m. and the parade lineup begins. A 4 p.m. parade will lead up to a catered meal of chicken and ham open to the public served in the parish center. From 5-9 p.m. there will be live entertainment on the parish grounds.

Various tours and displays will be set up during the day on Sunday beginning with Church tours and a narrator from 12 noon until 5 p.m. There will be an open house in the school building from 4-8 p.m. with a display of antiques and quilts and a tour of the school will be available also.
